The tendency is to think we're being punished or there's something wrong with us, or, or, or......BRILLIANT! I say brilliant because you've just revealed the negative beliefs fueling your life and maybe, just maybe, this is why the situation occurred. There could be other reasons; however, only time will tell. Constantly 'looking' for the possibility in everything will begin to shift your energy; however, it does take time.
If you notice, I do not suggest asking yourself 'Why?'. Looking at 'why' brings up the past as well as a lot of blame, judgment, and guilt which do nothing for feeling good. On the other hand, repeating 'What for?' draws our attention into the moment and when we're in the moment, we're alive and in touch with Source!
According to Ten Biggest Myths, the following list of beliefs are what keep us from experiencing our Heaven on Earth:
Myth #1: The key to lasting happiness is doing whatever makes you feel good.
Myth #2: Happiness depends upon one's circumstances.
Myth #3: Being happy is a function of being able to afford whatever you want.
Myth #4: A life guided by moral principles will make a person unhappy.
Myth #5: Once you achieve your goals for success, then you will be happy.
Myth #6: Those who live comfortable lives are happier than those who don't.
Myth #7: More money means more happiness and less money means less happiness.
Myth #8: The pursuit of happiness isn't worth the effort because its just a temporary and elusive feeling anyway.
Myth #9: Keeping up with the status quo is the surest way to find happiness.
Myth #10: Once you find lasting happiness, then you can begin to think about contributing to making others happy.
This is a list of limiting beliefs designed to justify our daily frustrations and sadness. What purpose does it serve other than to
cage our spirit? Such a division of being directly impacts our ability to embrace a more expansive view of life; very much like being in the zoo. Living within the confines of our conditions does nothing but squelch our spirit and declare that our minds
(limited thinking) are better than our hearts (inspirations). However, when we elect to let go of the 'shoulds and should not's' and accept the idea that EVERYTHING happens for a reason we’re training the mind to acknowledge the insights and act on it from a perspective of love, not punishment.
Keep In mind, the reason things happen is for our a-musement. To be amused means to be diverted from worry; although, more often than not, we pursue recreational activities as a way of avoiding our concerns because of our disempowering thoughts. What if we chose to view a difficult situation as the perfect opportunity to reflect on, ‘What for?’. What did we create this situation
for…indeed
There is perfection in the perceived imperfections and the more we allow ourselves to view or world and its circumstances as perfect, the. lighter we begin to feel. As we invite the lightness into our heart, we're able to embrace happiness as a way of life. The more we choose happiness regardless of our daily experiences; we're open to Source and the influx of inspirations. It's these inspirations that move us in the direction of our hearts desire.
We end up doing things we wouldn’t ordinarily do because we feel good. As a result, we find ourselves in new situations because we are wide open for anything to happen. We accept everything that comes our way and we simply choose to dance through life like this.
There’s an old saying: ‘like water off a duck’ back’. This is I see living life. Simply go with it, then just smile and wave. You created it. You are that powerful. Now choose. How do you want to roll?
